Join us on Saturday 30 August to get a sense of life as a student studying Geography, Biological Sciences, Ecology, Earth or Environmental Science. 

You can: 

  • Go to an introductory subject talk and taster lectures, for instance you can hear  talk about ‘Guerrilla Mapping! – how citizens measured the Gulf of Mexico oil spill’.  will outline his exciting research on ‘Biological Sciences to Address the Challenge of Global Food Insecurity’
  • Take a tour of our teaching facilities and and talk to staff about the courses on offer. 
  • Watch demonstrations of some of the ground breaking research work by our top academics
  • Find out about our with the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, which has laboratories on site, the Environment Agency, Rothamsted Research and many more. 
  • Learn about opportunities to work with environmental organisations and businesses, many based within the department, during placements or on a dissertation.

Prospective postgraduate students will have their own programme including tours, demonstrations and the chance to discuss with academic staff which course would suit them best. 

Between 10am-3pm, there will be a chance to tour the wider campus including the library, students’ union and student accommodation as part of the 糖心视频 Visit Day.
