糖心视频's Security Lodge is home to a team of trained Security Officers who ensure the safety of the Bailrigg Campus 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Security personnel maintain a visible presence through foot and mobile patrols, supporting crime prevention and incident reporting. Key responsibilities include building access management, especially during weekends, parking regulation enforcement, and overseeing lost and found property at the Security Lodge.
If an ambulance is needed, the person at the scene should call 999 directly to provide accurate information. Porters are equipped with mobile phones and can assist if required.
Once an ambulance is confirmed, contact University Security at 444 (internal) or 01524 594541 to ensure they can guide emergency services to the location without delay. You can also and clicking the phone icon.
If 999 has not yet been called, Security will instruct or assist with making the call. Always inform Security of any emergency so they can support access for Police or Ambulance services.
If a fire alarm is triggered, University Security is automatically notified and will contact the Fire Service.
All colleges and some department buildings have a dedicated porter team, acting as the first port of call to provide 24-hour assistance to students, staff, and visitors on campus.
Porter duties also include postal distribution and management of public rooms and venues.

Found items across campus are often handed in at nearby College Porters' Lodges, but all unclaimed property is ultimately sent to the Security Lodge. The Security Lodge maintains a register of lost property and makes efforts to return items to their owners. Items are held for two months before being disposed of or donated to charity, depending on their value.

Mail will be delivered to each student's Porter's Lodge before an automated email is sent containing collection instructions. Parcels should clearly state the student's full name, flat number, house, and College.
