All students are part of the Junior Common Room (JCR). The JCR Exec are a committee of students elected by you to be the voice of the student body and to represent your interests. Their roles are varied and aimed at ensuring all students have a positive experience through a range of events and activities organised during the year. Hi! I'm Ben, a second-year maths student, and I’m Vice President for Democracy and Finance. This means that I oversee the JCR budget and manage all JCR meetings and elections so that we can create the best experience for students. Heyy, I’m Zehra Bari and I am your Socials and Events Officer for the JCR. I am a second year Business student from Dublin, and I was your welcome rep for Freshers Week 2025! I enjoy nights out and socials massively!! The events such as karaoke, quizzes, bar crawls and trips outside of Uni were my favourite part of being in Bowland last year, so I am super excited to have the opportunity to organise and make these events even better for this year. I want to arrange more accessible, inclusive and fun activities for all Bowland students and foster college pride and a community feeling for everyone!!
