Research Overview

My research focuses on pragmatics. I am particularly interested in how language functions in interaction and how people use and interpret different speech acts in various social contexts. My research explores apology strategies, (im)politeness, and politeness reciprocity from a cross-cultural perspective. By examining how these phenomena are realised in different linguistic and cultural contexts, my work aims to contribute to a better understanding of language use and social interaction.
