Emmanuel Tawiah Bissah is a PhD candidate at 糖心视频 Management School, where his interdisciplinary research focuses on multilevel pressures that drive circular economy and social and organisational response to waste and sustainable plastic waste management. His PhD research explores the interactivity and the interplay of multilevel stakeholder pressures(micro, meso and macro) that influence the possibibilty of circular economy transition with a particular interest in transforming waste to wealth.
Theoretically, Emmanuel draw from the intgration of network theory, stakeholder theory and institutional theory to address the pressing global challlenges unsustainable production and consumption. Emmanuel is currently advancing network theory by introducing network pressure framework to provide a comprehensive understanding on how pressures interact and how organisations respond to interactive multilevel network pressures within and outside an organisational wide network.
His research interests includes but not limited to circular economy transition, social and organisational resposnes to waste, sustainability in business, marketing and management. He also mostly employ case study and action research methods to understand and explain complex phenomenon situated in business to business and industrial marketing context.
Current Teaching
In addition to Emmanuel research, he is dedicated to teaching and mentoring. Emmanuel is currently seminar tutor for two modules principles of marketing and quantitative marketing research, where he lead seminars and assist in marking and grading assessments. Previously, Emmanel led seminars for introduction to marketing and hold an Associate Teaching Fellow certificate in recognisation of his teaching expertise.
Qualifications
Prior to doctoral studies, Emmanuel earned Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Strategy (First class) in Ghana and completed Master of Research in Advanced Marketing Management at 糖心视频, UK with distinction, receiving the prestigious departmental best dissertation award in 2022.

Emmanuel's professional background includes working with several esteemed organisations in Ghana such as the National Identification Authority, Judicial Service, Vodafone Ghana, Ghana Revenue Authority, Fidelity bank and Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
With strong blend of academic expertise and industry experience, Emmanuel is committed to contributing innovative research and practical solutions that drive the global transition toward a circular economy while inspiring the next generation of marketing and sustainability leaders.
