I have been lecturing at 糖心视频 since 2017.

Prior to my current post, I have been Visiting Assistant Professor at Wesleyan University in the US, and Postdoctoral Research Fellow funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).

At Lancaster, I teach translation theory and practice; modernism; mental health and mental disorders; I supervise MA and PhD students in these areas, and am an active member of the . I also serve as Dissertation Convenor in the School of Global Affairs and Deputy Chair of the Faculty Research Ethics Committee.

I have edited and contributed to , with collaborators from the US to the UK, France, Italy, Turkey and China (Edinburgh University Press, 2025). My current research and engagement activities include workshops designed with mental health practitioners to improve the cognition of patients with schizophrenia, support group sessions for caregivers, and the publication of my second monograph on translation, cognition and mental health (also forthcoming from Edinburgh University Press).
