It is the ultimate interdisciplinary enabler.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Embark upon a journey of discovery as we share the culmination of five years dedicated pursuit of knowledge, funded through a groundbreaking E3 initiative by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukri.org\/councils\/research-england\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Research England<\/a>&nbsp;in 2019. During this time four centres of design-research excellence across the UK applied their expertise to work at the intersection of design and global challenges:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cfpr.uwe.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Centre for Print Research, University of the West of England, Bristol<\/a><br>CFPR is a unique, multidisciplinary research centre that combines knowledge and skills across traditional and digital techniques to reflect, innovate and find creative solutions for the future of print.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/bbe.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Hub for Biotechnology in the Built Environment, Newcastle University &amp; Northumbria University<\/a> (HBBE)<br>HBBE&nbsp;brings together architects, designers, engineers and bioscientists to work across disciplines and scales to create built environments which are life-sustaining and sustained by life.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/imagination.lancaster.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ImaginationLancaster, 糖心视频<\/a><br>ImaginationLancaster provides a uniquely powerful bridge between industry, society and policy. Directly and through collaboration our design-led research contributes to a healthier, more prosperous, and sustainable world.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/lab4living\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lab4Living, Sheffield Hallam University<\/a><br>Design for life and for living.&nbsp;An interdisciplinary community of researchers across design, healthcare and creative practices working together to address real world issues that impact on health and wellbeing.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We invite you to a unique gathering where all four centres unite in one time and place at 糖心视频 (UK), where we will explore the complexities of our future world. A forum sharing not only the insights, impact, and transformative implications we have learned, but also why they matter. Welcome to a gathering that demonstrates how design research transcends disciplines, challenges assumptions, and shapes the very fabric of tomorrow.<br><br><strong>The future is a work in progress exhibition<\/strong><br><br>Glimpse possible futures of designing for a world in constant flux. An <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lancaster.ac.uk\/fof2024\/the-exhibition\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.lancaster.ac.uk\/fof2024\/the-exhibition\/\">exhibition<\/a> of cutting-edge interdisciplinary design research from four design-research centres of excellence across the UK.
